Before you begin, please note the following:
 

  1. Exede† service by ViaSat is now available! This new service provides substantially higher speeds as well as support for VOIP and many VPN protocols. Since this service is being introduced to new areas practically on a daily basis, our ZIP code lookup cannot be maintained concurrently. Please call us at
    1-866-989-3105 prior to placing your order to find out if Exede service is available in your area.
  2. All services require a 24-month contract. If you cancel the service before the end of your contract, you will be obligated to pay early termination fees. Read our customer agreement for details.
  3. Service is subject to bandwidth thresholds. That means your usage is not unlimited.
    A "threshold" is the amount of data that you can upload or download in a 30-day period before WildBlue's Fair Access Policy may reduce your speeds. The thresholds are in place to help ensure optimum performance for all WildBlue customers. Typically these thresholds affect less than 3% of our customers.
  4. A few types of Internet applications do not work well on WildBlue. This is because WildBlue is delivered via two-way satellite. The few applications that do not work well include:
    • VOIP (voice over IP)
    • VPNs (virtual private networks)
    • Gaming, especially "fast twitch" gaming such as first person shooters
    • Peer-to-Peer software
    • High-Definition movie streaming over the Internet
